How to rent/borrow gear from TIMARA (read before submitting ticket)
TIMARA is not the only place to borrow gear on campus! Our gear is reserved for majors and people enrolled in classes. Usage of our gear should be primarily reserved for academic use only. Hence we typically direct people to other places on campus first before coming to us with a rental request.

I am a major/minor or enrolled in a class
- If you are requesting gear for a class, recital preparations (not performances), or other academic work, please follow the instructions on this page of the wiki.
- If you need gear for a recital or midway, please follow the instructions on this page of the wiki
- If you need gear for a non-recital performance that is not associated with the department, please open a ticket with this link to request to rent/borrow equipment
- If you need to borrow gear from the studios, please open a ticket with this link to request to rent/borrow gear from the studios
How to request gear for checkout: Non-major and not enrolled in a class
- Did you check if AV has the equipment you are looking for?
- Did you check with Concert Sound about renting the gear or running your event?
- Did you check with Conservatory Audio and Concert Production about renting the gear or running your event?
- If the gear is not available from the listed organizations, please open a ticket with this link to request it from TIMARA. Note that this kind of request can take 1-2 weeks to get approved unless it's very small.
Many student organizations also have gear that can be borrowed for student events. However the usage of this gear cannot conflict with services provided by Concert Sound.
